General Terms & Conditions

These General Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the use of Movnor’s bike leasing services (the “Services”). By entering into an agreement with Movnor, you agree to abide by the following Terms:

1. Eligibility

The bike leasing program is available to employees of companies participating in the program. Employees must meet the criteria specified by the participating employer.

2. Leasing period

The general leasing period is 36 months. Early termination of the lease agreement is subject to the conditions outlined in the specific leasing contract.

3. Price and availability

All prices are non-binding. The respective prices at the points of sale apply. Offers may only be available in limited numbers, versions, regions or at certain points of sale. Movnor GmbH (Switzerland) is not liable for products that are not available or for erroneously incorrect prices. All bike prices (RRP) are net including VAT in Swiss francs (CHF), however, leasing rates are calculated excluding VAT. Price and product range changes as well as technical changes are reserved. All offers on this website are subject to change and are not to be understood as binding offers. All information on this website, as well as in the points of sale and communications (product descriptions, images, films, dimensions, weights, technical specifications, accessory relationships and other information) are to be understood as approximate values only and in particular do not represent any guarantee of properties.

4. Payments

Leasing payments are made monthly and are subject to the agreed-upon plan. Payments must be made via the designated payment methods as per the lease agreement.

5. Included services

The lease includes the bike, full insurance and service, with three optional packages to choose from. Additional costs for any non-standard services may apply.

Each bike leased through Movnor is covered by mandatory insurance which is valid throughout the entire leasing period. The insurance protects both the leasing provider for the leased bike and the lessee or user against financial liability in the event of damage or theft due to a sudden and unforeseen external incident.

The insured item includes the specific bike (or e-bike) outlined in the leasing agreement. The insurance covers both private use and business use, and the insured value includes the bike’s purchase price along with any insured accessories, as specified in the leasing agreement.

Service must be performed annually to ensure the operational and traffic safety of the leased bike (e.g., inspections or ongoing repairs), to maintain the manufacturer’s warranties, and to ensure the bike is in good condition and free from defects when returned. Therefore, it is recommended that each leased bike be accompanied by a service package. If no service package is selected, the lessee or user is responsible for ensuring regular service of the bike.

What service packages are available?

The lessee or user can choose from three different packages based on needs and the type of bike. The more frequently the bike is used, the more service it will require. It is important to note that certain types of bikes require more maintenance than others. The service packages are divided into budgets that the lessee or user can freely allocate for each 12-month period, totaling three periods over the 36-month leasing term. The service budget can be used for inspections and repairs, including spare parts, depending on the selected service package.

6. Usage and maintenance

Lessees must use the bike in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines and ensure it is maintained properly. Maintenance and repairs are covered based on the selected service package.

7. Damage or theft

In the event of damage or theft, the lessee must notify Movnor immediately. Insurance coverage terms apply based on the selected package.

8. Termination and return

At the end of the lease term, the bike must be returned in good condition. Early lease termination or returning the bike before the end of the contract may incur penalties, as outlined in the specific agreement.

9. Liability

Movnor is not liable for any damages or injuries resulting from the use of the leased bike, except as covered under the insurance terms.

10. Changes to terms

Movnor reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated to customers in advance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, and any disputes will be resolved by the courts of Zurich.
